I'll be sad to see this go, but this is our ex demonstration SME Series IV tonearm.
It is comparatively rare as I specified it from new with the factory fitted pure silver internal wiring option (the van den Hul MCS150 Litz wire), however nowhere on the packaging does it state this and SME do not hold records to this effect. I always found this very beneficial as it gets rid of the slight greyness that many critics level at this tonearm.
The sound is one of authority and scale, with a delicacy and airiness thanks to the internal wiring upgrade that I feel can be missing as standard. It is an arm that rightly deserves its reputation as one of the finest ever made. It's also just a lovely thing to handle and own (which is why it has taken me so long before deciding to part with it).
It has had light use and is in overall very good condition with just the usual points showing wear - the headshell where the bolts are fitted and the side of the armtube where it goes into the arm clip. There is some light loss of the printing down the side of the armtube as pictured.
It comes with its packaging, manuals, van den Hul external arm cable and two tools, however it does not have its alignment protractor or the finger lift (which I never recommend using) - these can be purchased directly from SME or you can use your preferred alignment protractor of course.
