ProAc (an abbreviation of Professional Acoustics) started in the 1970s in Borehamwood. Originally called Celef Audio, with the branding as we now know it changing on the speakers in 1979. Now based in Brackley, the company has always been family run throughout and naturally continues despite the founder, Stewart Tyler, sadly passing away in 2021.
