The new Saturn MK3 is effectively two products in one - a very high quality CD player with the helpful addition of digital inputs enabling you to connect it to a variety of digital sources, just as you would with a stand alone DAC, giving the same great sound to all your digital music.
The top loading CD mechanism is a pleasure to use, with its damped closing mechanism proving intuitive. The digital inputs include USB (192kHz 24 Bit asynchronous), 2 x Toslink optical S/Pdif and 2 x Coaxial S/Pdif along with digital outputs enabling you to 'daisy chain' it into another system if required (and a direct digital output from the CD Transport too).
A pair of Wolfson WM8742 DAC chips are used for conversion and is mated to a high quality analogue output stage, all fed by multiple over sized power supplies.
The well featured Solaris remote control provides control of both the DAC and CD player elements of the Saturn.
