Rega Elys 2 MM Cartridge

The Rega Elys 2 is a Moving Magnet (MM) cartridge that is meticulously hand assembled in the UK. It features an aluminium cantilever and elliptical diamond stylus profile which produces a rich weighty sound, with good bass weight and solidity. The generator is carefully aligned to ensure fine stereo matching (maximum tolerance of +/-0.3mV), and it has a relatively high output ensuring your phono stages noise floor is kept well away from the music.

This cartridge is very popular on Rega Planar 2, 3, and 6 turntables, and is also used on many other non Rega turntables/tonearms.

This cartridge comes 'retail packed' in a rigid plastic box and is supplied with mounting hardware including allen key, the 3rd bolt (for 3 point fixing on Rega arms) and instructions.

Please note that this cartridge is quite short in height compared to many other cartridges, so care should be taken to ensure the arm height is appropriate for getting the best results from it.

The Elys 2 does not have a replaceable stylus assembly, however a reasonably priced rebuild service is offered by Rega, which help keep the running costs down compared to many other similar cartridges, please see our 'Replacement Styli section' for details.
