This is a pair of Studio 100 speakers that I originally sold in 2013 and have just come back in on a part exchange. They are in the quite rare Mahogany finish, come with boxes and a pair of the excellent custom built matching Something Solid XFII stands
The speakers are in very good condition, I would say they are approximately an 8 out of 10 and the foams are still in good condition too. The speakers have boxes but the stands do not. The speakers do not have their original biwire links (which do not sound great anyway) but we can supply some much better sounding ones if required.
As regulars to this website might have realised, these are on a fairly short list amongst my favourite speakers. They may have been designed for studio monitoring (and have been and are currently used by some very famous names across all genres including dance music and heavy metal!), but unlike most of the breed these are still very musical, they are not overly analytical but they are still very revealing and do require good ancillaries - the best results are invariably with good valve amplification. The midband quality is really rather special, and voices are particularly life like.
