The MC Step Box DS3 B is a high quality step up transformer from Pro-Ject. It uses the very highly regarded Lundahl LL1678 transformers from Sweden
Housed in a smart aluminium chassis, it has switchable ratios giving gains of 24dB or 30dB.
Unusually it offers both balanced and single ended outputs, the balanced connections are primarily for use with the Project range of balanced tonearms.
On the rear is the ability to adjust the loading, the options are as follows:
Gain setting 24dB: 10 to 40, or 40 to 150 Ohms
Gain setting 30dB: 5 to 20 Ohms, or 20 to 100 Ohms
