Cork is a great material that can help damp ringing platters (particularly glass and metal ones), reduce static build up and offers a high grip support for your LPs.
It's very thin at just 1mm thick, but multiples can be stacked if desired (for a greater damping effect or to compensate on turntables where the arm height is not adjustable).
