The ST-70 is the second model up in the Ortofon Step Up transformer range. It features high quality transformers made by the specialists at Lundahl with great attention put on shielding the transformers in mumetal both to reduce the chances of noise pick up as well as offering the widest stereo separation possible within the housing.
Within the Ortofon range of MC cartridges the Cadenza series is the ideal partner, but thanks to the two levels of gain/impedance that the transformers offer, set by internal jumpers, a whole host of models can be accommodated.
