The SPU Mono CG 65 DI mk2 cartridge, is as the name hints at, a mono cartridge with a 65 μm spherical tip designed for playback of early vinyl records and 78 rpm records.  A smaller 25μm version is also available to order in our store.

Please note this cartridge must not be used on Stereo records.

This cartridge has an output of 1.5mV, so is a halfway house between a normal MC output and a HOMC High Output MC.

This cartridge is suited to arms that are moderate to high mass and have an 'SME' type headshell connection.

Due to their nature, there can be a lead time on SPU orders, so please ask before ordering if delivery time scale is critical.

As MC cartridges do not have removable stylus assemblies Ortofon have an 'exchange' scheme where your old worn/damaged Ortofon MC cartridge is used as a credit against any other Ortofon MC cartridge.
