Ortofon SPU CLASSIC N MC Cartridge

The SPU Classic N is effectively the Classic GM cartridge but without the body. It has half inch mounting but you will need an adaptor (SPU-N Adaptor) due to the lack of a flat top or a donor SPU body to use it in. 

Technically, bar the lack of body it is otherwise identical to the Classic GM. So this model features a nude spherical diamond that ensures great connection between the groove and the generator improving the directness of the sound.

The sound drips with colour and vibrancy, it doesn't sound old fashioned, it just sounds real. Musicians have substance and a presence that little else captures, the dynamics leap as required and but with more realism than is common. 

This cartridge is suited to arms that are moderate to high mass.
