Ortofon Concorde Music Black LVB 250 MM Cartridge and Headshell

The Concorde Music series of cartridges is a combined headshell and cartridge design suitable for use in an SME type removable headshell equipped S shaped tonearm. The Music series is intended for hi-fi applications only, unlike the DJ models which have been housed in the same Concorde shaped body for the last few decades, so please don't be confused by their cosmetic similarities.

There are many similarities with this range and the 2M series of Ortofon cartridges and the different levels (designated by the colour) follow a similar progression. These cartridges produce a very healthy 6mV output, helping to reduce noise from your MM phono stage.

The Black LVB250 is the top of the range model and features a nude Shibata diamond on a Boron cantilever. Boron is a very stiff material and transmits the movements of the records grooves much more faithfully than most materials, producing superb energy, detail and realism and making the most of the exceptionally fine diamond used.

The styli are interchangeable in the range, so you can upgrade/downgrade the cartridge just by changing the stylus (which are available on the MM stylus section of this website) as the main body of the cartridge is identical throughout the range.
