The 2M Blue is the second level up in the 2M range, and improves upon the entry level Red version by featuring a one piece (nude) diamond, the improved mechanical integrity this brings results in much greater resolution, less graininess and more openness to the sound making it a very nice upgrade.

-2M Blue This is the model everyone thinks of when they think of this cartridge, it's a very well reviewed design.

-2MR Blue This is an exciting addition to the range - the 2M series are quite tall cartridges, so the 2MR is a shorter height  version and is proving popular with owners of turntables with height restrictions (like some Rega decks, for example). This cartridge is a little lighter than the standard model, but otherwise the same.

-2M Blue Verso Identical to standard height 2M Red but with male cartridge threads extending out of the cartridge (rather than internal female threads), for use where conventional threaded inserts on the standard model are not usable.

-2M Blue Premounted This is a standard 2M Red pre mounted into a 'SME' type removable headshell

The 2M range features Ortofon's Spilt-Pole Pin generator to reduce eddy currents and extend and flatten the frequency response.

All 2M Series styli are interchangeable so you can downgrade/upgrade the performance easily or even fit a 78 stylus profile if required.
