This is a bit of a rarity, it's a kit turntable that Origin Live produced in the nineties.
It's a really interesting design, it's a stiffly suspended deck where unusually the motor (which IIRC is AC) is mounted to the sub chassis, so it moves with the arm and platter when bounced. The design aim for this type of construction is to reduce dynamic speed variations that can be experienced from more conventionally suspended decks, whilst still reducing coupling from it's surroundings.
An acrylic platter on a metal sub platter supports the LP.
It is fitted with an Origin Live branded modified Rega RB250 tonearm, which has a rigidly mounted counterweight, but is, I believe, otherwise standard.
An Audio Technical AT-OC5 MC cartridge is fitted but it's best to assume this is well used and probably due replacing soon.
It's in very good condition and I know it was assembled very carefully from the original instructions. I would rate its condition at an 8 or 9 out of 10.
