The PhoNote MM was a phono stage that I was involved with back in the early 2000s.
It's an all valve design using ECC82 and ECC83 valves and was introduced as we were struggling to find a phono stage that offered the performance we wanted along with a beefy output stage to drive everything including the Music First Audio TVC pre amplifiers, which we were selling a lot of at time.
We specified it to include aluminium casework, passive eq, low impedance cathode follower output stage, silver RCA sockets along with a substantial (twin choke) power supply.
This is our original ex demonstration unit, there are a few marks including light scratches to the lid and chips to the edge of the fascia as photographed - however to the eye these are much less intrusive than they appear in pictures (or my eye sight is worse than I realise!).
It has been updated with our uprated mains transformer.
It was very well reviewed at the time and sonically is still a delight today.
The RRP was £1,500.
We do not have the original packaging, but we will ensure it is well boxed if it's shipped.
The review pictured is of the MC version, but bar the internal step up transformers it is identical.
