The iconic 'B1' name makes its return with the B1xi. It's the latest starting point in the Musical Fidelity range of integrated amplifiers and is a well featured integrated amplifier with on board MM phono stage, DAC (with coaxial, optical and ARC inputs for TV connectivity), Bluetooth receiver, 3 line level inputs and pre amp outputs and a home theatre pass through. A remote control is naturally included.
The amplifier is a discrete class A/B design, designed with the aim of combining low crossover distortion with good efficiency. A substantial toroidal transformer forms the heart of the amplifier, with separate for the pre, power and digital stages.
The digital stages are remotely positioned from the analogue stages to reduce RFI noise and the DAC for the coaxial and optical inputs is the highly regarded ESS9018.
