The Zen DAC 3 is a USB (only) DAC ready to plug into your hi-fi system, powered speakers or headphones.
As you'd expect from Ifi, the design is at the cutting edge of what's possible at an astonishingly low price.
Simply connect it to your computer, phone, tablet via its USB-C input and benefit from the high quality Burr Brown chipset which is able to run almost every hi-res format you could want (in PCM, DSD, DXD and MQA).
It has both RCA phono outputs and a bantam balanced connector meaning you can plug it into any line level input on an amplifier. There's also the option of fixed or variable output controlled by the volume control on the front if you want to go directly into powered speakers (or similar).
The headphone outputs are by 6.35mm jack or 4.4mm Bantam for balanced operation.
It's amazing just how much Ifi are able to squeeze into their diminutive boxes, with specifications rivalling units with price tags many times greater.
