This is an unused tonearm, it was a cancelled order so has never been fitted to a turntable. The retail price was £3,224 and this example was manufactured in 2018.
Helius are rightly known for their superb tonearms- these are artisan hand made and therefore really quite rear. They are often found on Voyd turntables, but can fit most turntables that are able to support a (fairly heavy) 10" long tonearm. Please note that an external cable is not supplied, so a well screened cable will be need to connect the 'break out box' rca sockets to your phono stage.
It comes complete with arm collar, packaging, manual and protractor.
It features tungsten bearings, copper wire and is anodised black with silver counterweights.
Technically the arm is very sophisticated, being dynamically balanced, damped by differential masses and having non-coincident bearings. In addition, it pays close attention to small but significant details ranging from bracing ridges machined into the headshell, internal cue construction, silicon bias correction, collet clamping base plate, micro-adjustment of tracking downforce to name but a few.
Specifications:
Tracking error - Unique Helius geometry 92% of the record is played with < 1 degree of error. Peak error 2.57 degs
Bearings ( rolling ) - Tungsten

Bearings ( rolling ) - Tungsten
Internal wire- Copper is used in the case of the standard Omega.
Effective mass - Variable ( dynamic ) due to damping by differential masses and therefore ultimately dependant on cartridge compliance, typically though. 7g / 10g. Omega should be regarded as a low to medium mass arm best suited to medium to stiff cantilevered cartridges.
Counterweights - The main counterweight is fixed and as close to the bearings as possible to ensure low effective mass. For fine tuning, we offer a choice of 3 minor weights. These accommodate cartridge mass ranges from 7g to 20g (standard weight only included, others available to order if required)
VTA adjustment - Via screw and collar-clamp built within the base plate. Adjustment range 15mm/20mm max. Non-coincident bearings to ensure differential resonance frequencies. Damping by differential masses. Tapered tube for maximal rigidity and minimal height above record. Sectional area decreases towards the front.
Cables terminated via 2 x female phono/rca sockets contained within special case; this allows customer choice of interconnect cable to preamp and ensure maximum flexibility of cables is maintained for minimal interference with turntable suspension.
