The Silver Night is a delightful sounding amplifier - one of our absolute favourites in fact. It offers superb dynamics, speed and resolution without any sense of sterility. Its ability to drive a wide variety of speakers belies its 7 watt output, as it seems to have grip and control that other amplifiers in its class can’t match.

It uses a single 300B output valve per channel with zero feedback and two 6h23/6922 dual triodes. As standard they come with a  volume/gain control on the fascia (so it can be used to as a single input ‘integrated’ amplifier or simply to reduce gain when used with high output pre amplifiers of extraordinarily efficient speakers) but this can be deleted if preferred.

The Anniversary is hard wired, features a large choke filtered power supply, high grade audio components and a very serious pair of output transformers - as ever with a circuit design so minimalistic it’s the quality of the power supply and output transformers that dictate the results, and here it’s obvious that they really are superb.

These amplifiers reveal a soundstage that is very spacious and natural and they ebb and flow in such a beautiful way that they seem to impart no sound of their own - it's very special yet difficult to describe as they just seem to disappear making almost anything else sound leaden and mechanical in comparison. The performance at this price level is quite remarkable and really needs to be heard.
