Audio Technica AT-VM95ML/H MM Headshell & Cartridge Package

This is a special bundle direct from Audio Technica, they combine an excellent cartridge and pre fit it at their factory in Fukui in Japan to their own high quality diecast aluminium headshell, making it ready to fit straight into many tonearms which feature a suitable removable headshell. Saves fiddly messing around with cartridge wires and screws, the alignment is adjustable if needed but pre-set at the factory. Please note some adjustment of your tonearm will be required (tracking force, anti skate and possible the tonearm height -VTA).

Cartridge Specifications:

The AT-VM95ML is a new audiophile Moving Magnet cartridge and stylus combination from Audio-Technica. It features a Nude Micro Linear Diamond, the Nude part of the name referring to the fact that it has a one piece diamond with a round shank inserted in the cantilever, rather than the more conventional smaller diamond which is bonded to a shank (basically a spacer to interface the diamond to the cantilever). A Nude diamond is larger and much more expensive to manufacture which is why it is normally see only on more hi-end cartridges, but the reduction in weight and increase in rigidity are audible as improvements in transient response, detail and high frequency resolution, which makes it a very worthwhile design choice when the budget allows. This series of cartridges can be upgraded or downgrade by fitting styli from other models in the new AT-VM95 range, meaning a range of diamond profiles can be fitted at a later date (this is the fourth model up in the range and comes with a Nude Micro Linear Diamond on an Aluminium cantilever).
