The 'C' (for Conical) is the entry level model in the Audio Technica AT-VM95 range.
This makes an excellent first cartridge as it sounds great at its price level and can easily be upgraded as budget allows. The cartridge body is threaded reducing some of the fiddliness of fitting a cartridge and this model features a Conical diamond which is easy to align and tracks well. The cantilever is made of Aluminium.
Thanks to the removable stylus assembly you can fit styli from other models in the VMN95 range to upgrade the performance or even to play 78 rpm records on it (on a suitable turntable naturally).
