The VM520EB/H is a package of the AT-VM520EB cartridge pre fitted to the HS10 headshell, making it an almost plug and play solution (bar changing the tracking force) on any turntable with an SME style heashell connector and S or J shaped tonearm.
The VMS520EB cartridge features an Elliptical bonded stylus that features lower distortion over a Spherical profile along with more accurate sound quality.
The stylus has a flip down stylus guard to protect it when not in use.

Features Audio-Technica’s internationally-patented Dual Magnet design which replicates the structure of the cutter head instead of using a single, large magnet, the two magnets are arranged in the shape of a "V". The two magnets are positioned precisely to match the positions of the left and right channels in the stereo groove walls. Consequently, the VM design ensures outstanding channel separation, extended frequency response and superb tracking.
Para-toroidal coils improve generating efficiency and offer superb linearity, since leakage of magnetic flux in this continuous and unitised magnetic circuit is low. The permeability of the cores is also optimised through the use of laminated cores with a Permalloy centre shield plate reducing crosstalk to below 40dB. This is similar to the actual crosstalk value found in the grooves of the record itself. The coils are wound with 6N-OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) coil wire.
