The P2 SE power amplifier uses a pair of 5881/6L6 output valves per channel in parallel single ended configuration, which helps produce a power output to suit most speakers. The amplification stage is similar to that found in the Soro SE integrated amplifier.

The volume control on the fascia means it can be used to adjust the gain (especially useful when used with very high efficiency speakers and/or a high gain pre amplifier) and it can also be used to control the volume of a single source too.

Some of the superior quality components utilised in the P2 SE include:

​Audio Note (UK) custom tinfoil capacitors, used in the most critical areas. Dual power supplies and transformers, one for the output stage and one for the remaining circuitry. Custom designed output transformers, manufactured by Audio Note (UK). These output transformers—one of the most critical areas of valve amplifier design—allow the P2 SE to produce impressively extended and controlled bass.
