The Ongaku Kensei is, as the name suggests, the power amplifier version of the legendary Ongaku integrated amplifier. The input is via balanced transformers (which can be used with an unbalanced pre amplifier with the right cable as long as it's able to drive the low input impedance) which are silver wound, like all of the transformers contained within.
As you'd expect of an amplifier at this level, only the very finest of Audio Note parts are used throughout, including Silver foil in oil capacitors, Blackgate capacitors and Tantalum resistors.
The driver and output transformers are fully silver wired AN-Perma 50 nickel C-core and the mains transformer is a fully silver wired HiB double C core.
No stereo power amplifier has ever produced the levels of musical purity delivered by the ONGAKU Kensei… It is without doubt the finest possible stereo chassis power amplifier available today.
