Audio Note M9 RIAA Signature Pre Amplifier

The M9 Signature Phono pre amplifier is a design that pushes the very boundaries about what hi-end audio can be. There's no line level version of this pre amplifier, all models come with line and a MM phono input. It features one balanced XLR input, which interfaces via a high quality silver wired input transformer. It's a substantial two box design, with one chassis for the power supply and the other for the audio stages.

Unusually, the M9 Signature includes a Mono/Stereo switch, a great boon for anyone listening to mono recordings via a stereo wired cartridge.

The valve complement includes a 6463, 6189, EF80 and E80CC, each channel is fed from its own power suppply using a 6X5 valve rectified power supply, which includes and ECL82 for voltage regulation and a 5651 as a voltage stabiliser. 

Some of the very finest parts available are used, naturally this includes silver wiring, tantalum resistors, along with Audio Note Silver foil in oil capacitors, Audio Note and Black Gate electrolytic capacitors. Even the umbilical power supply cables are silver (Sogon) wired, such is the extent that any bottlenecks to performance are minimised as far as possible. The circuit outputs through 55% Nickel Iron C-Core transformers with silver primary and secondary windings.
