Audio Note M9 Phono Pre Amplifier

In Audio Notes own words "M9 Pre Amplifier is without doubt or question, the finest phono stage equipped preamplifier we have ever produced, and the line stage is only surpassed in performance by our own M10 Line. As one would expect, no expense has been spared in the construction of the circuit or the components used"

The line inputs include a balanced XLR connection, which interfaces via a high quality silver wired input transformer. There are 3 single ended RCA line level inputs and the pre amp outputs are both balanced and unbalanced.

The line stage uses 6189 and 6463 valves and the phono stage uses EF80 and ECC81 valves. 

The multiple power supplies are all the classic Audio Note recipe of a 6X5 valve rectifier, interfacing with an ECL82 for voltage regulation and a 5651 as a voltage stabiliser. The power supplies are housed in a second box due to their size and to minimise any noise.

Silver wiring, tantalum resistors, along with Audio Note Silver foil in oil capacitors and Audio Note electrolytic capacitors ensures that the signal passes only through very high quality components. The circuit outputs through 55% Nickel Iron C-Core transformers with silver primary and secondary windings.
