The IQ1 is the entry level cartridge from Audio Note. Made in the UK to Audio Notes specifications, this cartridge offers an exceptionally well balanced sound, one that has a tonal rightness to it and dynamic conviction that lends the sound real body and presence.
The lightweight but rigid body features threaded inserts making installation a breeze. The stylus is a Gyger Type 1 which is fitted to an aluminium cantilever. The generator uses very fine copper wire and the magnets are made from alnico.
All of the styli in the Audio Note IQ range are interchangeable, so you can upgrade/downgrade the performance of a cartridge simply by changing the stylus assembly from other models in the range.
