The Sootoo is the ultimate Audio Note cable. Featuring 168 fine strands of pure silver of differing diameter. Like all of the upper level cables in the range it's a Litz design, meaning each of the very fine strands has its own thin layer of (polyurethane) insulation. These strands are made from 99.99% pure silver, twisted to form a single core.
The cable design is quite unusual as each cable contains 8 separately insulated groups of these cores, with four different diameters. Cable designers tend to agree that thicker strands of conductors tend towards the lower frequencies and thinner ones to the upper ones, so this topology aims to bring the best of both worlds. These cores orbit cotton central strands and the assembly is then encased within an outer screen.
This means two separate cables are required per speaker for single wiring and four for bi-wiring. These cables can be lightly twisted together (my preference) or left well spaced.
These cables are available to order in any length in 0.5m increments and Audio Note can terminate the cables with either their silver plated banana plugs or spade connectors.
