The Mavros Ultra RCA S/PDIF is a very high performance digital cable and available here at a big saving over the RRP of £600.50.
The central conductor comprises strands of high-purity OCC copper with a thin dielectric layer of microporous PTFE, which behaves almost like the theoretically perfect insulator –free air – with minimal effect upon the signal being transmitted.
To protect against the harmful effects of RFI, co-axial double shielding layers combine an aluminium foil and an OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) braid, after which a damped cotton yarn layer with PVC jacket protects the whole cable.
With a termination impedance of almost exactly 75 Ohms at 1 MHz and a low conductor-to-conductor capacitance of around 50pF per meter the Mavros digital interconnect precisely matches the consumer digital audio specification to ensure error-free transmission of high-speed wideband signals.
