Atlas Ailsa Achromatic 0.5m RCA Interconnect Cables RRP £275

Sadly now discontinued, this is the Ailsa cables with the Achromatic plugs, which meant that you had a very high performance cable with a superb but more affordable plug than the Ultra version.

These are brand new and boxed and the original RRP would have been in the region of £275.

The Ailsa cable series has become a firm favourite of ours. 

It's just such a great all rounder. It has a low sonic signature of its own, this of course leads to very good transparency and a feeling of calm quiet backgrounds from which fine details appear from. Tonally it's spot on (as you'd expect from Atlas). It's not lacking in punch or dynamics either, and I suspect that due to the care put into the cable construction itself the timing is spot on, getting the toes tapping with ease.

This cable features very high purity OCC copper conductors, microporous PTFE insulators and a copper mylar foil screen, terminated here with low mass, non magnetic Achromatic RCA plugs.
