To the eye appears to differ little apart from the little gold spot that it derives its name from, but changes in its construction mean the differences are more than skin deep. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn audition it surprised me by improving upon the already excellent Anniversary mat quite substantially, although curiously not on all records, some showed little improvement, but on about 1\/3 to 1\/2 of the records I tried there was even less muddle, more solid lows and a general improvement in cleanliness to the upper frequencies. I was sceptical, but whatever the reason (possibly the 'Goldspot', perhaps the improved adhesives used) this mat takes the Ringmat philosophy to its ultimate conclusion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis mat is suitable, and works well, with 12\", 10\" and 7\" records (excluding flexidiscs naturally!).
