The product has evolved over the years of course, there's a Carbon Fibre toneam which is both light and rigid and a high quality Ortofon sourced MM cartridge as standard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe solid MDF plinth is available in three finishes, a Satin Black, a Gloss Black and a real Walnut wood veneer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe in house designed and manufactured AC motor is fed from an internal AC power supply (which itself is fed from an external ‘wall wart’ power supply) and is mounter on a TPE damped motor plate which is more rigidly coupled to the MDF plinth than before. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe new 1.7kg platter is made from steel, providing a strong flywheel effect and reducing speed fluctuations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe supplied cartridge is the Pick it S2MM, an elliptically tipped design made by Ortofon for Pro-Ject\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePlayback of 33.3, 45 and 78rpm is possible, with simple switch operation to go between 33.3 and 45.
